The Library and Information Science Program, which has over 50 years of humble excellence in teaching, research and service, has produced hundreds of information professionals working in Hawaii, the nation and throughout the world.

Degree Information

The Master of Library & Information Science (MLISc) program consists of a basic set of required courses, augmented by courses relevant to particular specializations, and elective courses appropriate for various library and other information-related careers.  The degree is awarded after completion of 39 credit hours and either the Thesis (Option A) or Oral Comprehensive Exam (Option B).
