The ICS Department actively seeks to nurture the local and national high tech communities, and to create opportunities outside of our curriculum for students to develop their professional skills.

The ICS Department has an active student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

The ICS Department also houses the Supporting Women in Technology & Computing Hawaii (SWITCH) at UHM.

We partner with several local businesses and startups to provide internship opportunities for our current students and career opportunities for out graduates.
